Making the Lists, and Checking Them Twice...

Just like Santa Clause, everyone needs a list for the big day; no matter the event. This is a great way to keep yourself on point and everyone else that is working with you.
Your check list should start and evolve at the very beginning of your event; brainstorming list, time line list, food/grocery list, drink list, guest list...you get the idea. But remember, no matter how diligent you are with all your lists; there is something that will happen that you did not for see, just remember that this is ok and keep going.
I personally, like to add in a line in my budget for "unforeseen costs"; just because you don't know what it is going to be, doesn't mean you can't try to prepare for it. I also, like to put in my time line lists a section for breathing, and celebrating a job well done. As silly as that may sound, you would be amazed how often you will over look yourself.
Now that you're checked your lists twice...or more, enjoy!

Christmas Favors

The Christmas season is upon us full of cheer and parties. If you're still trying to figure out a great way to thank your guests for coming to your party, how about a homemade Christmas ornament? Decorate a smaller tree in the centre of your food table with these festive ornaments and invite your guests to take one when they are leaving. It's a guarantee way that your party will always be remembered.
I found this quick and easy way for you to try out your skills and impress your guests; also, this doesnt' have to be just for Christmas, this could be used at weddings, birthdays, Easter, any occasion really. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Rxj1Y0qJVw

Cheap & Cheerful

Elaborate face painting seems to be all the range right now, gone are the days of cat whiskers, and a simple skull and cross bone on the cheek. These days, kids want professional face paint, I'm talking Cirqu du Soleil style.
This is a quick and easy way to make those little girls into butterfly fairies in no time: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ESJ1AFWH2Kw

And to let out the inner animal in those little boys; however, I don't know if they need any help sometimes.

Remember, parties don't have to cost an arm and a leg, just some key details can make it memorable and perfect for your little one. Enjoy!
